Pradeep Rawat, the renowned actor of Bollywood and South Indian cinema, has passed away at the age of 74. The veteran artist, who gained household recognition through his powerful performances in Aamir Khan’s super-duper hit films ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Lagaan’, leaves the entire film industry and fans in shock. As the news of Pradeep Rawat’s demise broke, a wave of grief swept across social media, with numerous film personalities paying emotional tributes to him.
Lost the Battle Against Blood Cancer
The actor’s business manager, Siddharth Tiwari, officially confirmed his demise. He revealed that the actor had been battling a severe illness like blood cancer for the past 5 years. Midway through treatment, his condition had improved significantly, but a few months ago, the cancer relapsed and gripped him once again. For the last two months, he had been receiving treatment in a hospital, where his health deteriorated continuously over the past few days. Finally, on Tuesday evening, he breathed his last. According to family members, his last rites are likely to be performed on Wednesday.

Actor Sonu Sood shared a black-and-white picture of Pradeep Rawat on his official Instagram account, expressing deep sorrow. He wrote, “Pradeep Rawat bhai, you will always be missed.” In addition, several other artists, including TV actor Ayushpal Sharma, paid tribute by remembering him as the fierce villain of ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Deva’ from ‘Lagaan’.
