Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has adopted a stern stance regarding persistent mismanagement, poor infrastructure, and teacher shortages in educational institutions across various districts of the state. Taking the student protests in districts like Lucknow, Azamgarh, Mahoba, Hamirpur, and Unnao with utmost seriousness, the Chief Minister has reprimanded the administrative machinery. The state government has made it clear that any laxity in the quality of education and teaching standards will not be tolerated.
Nodral Officers Assigned to Monitor All Educational Institutions
Expressing deep displeasure over teacher shortages and administrative flaws, CM Yogi has ordered officials to immediately and effectively resolve all issues. To streamline the system, senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office have been appointed as nodal officers and entrusted with the responsibility of regular monitoring of all educational institutions across the state. If any negligence is found in the management of any institution, the concerned officers and employees will be promptly identified, and strict individual accountability will be fixed.
Comprehensive Review Across All Education Departments
Following these clear directives from the Chief Minister, monitoring of all educational institutions under the Basic and Secondary Education, Higher Education, Technical and Vocational Education, Social Welfare, and Labor departments will now be conducted through separately designated officers. If any complaints or deficiencies regarding the education system emerge from any corner of the state, they will be resolved immediately. Furthermore, disciplinary action will be taken against the employees and officials found guilty of negligence.
Serious Questions Raised Over Delays in Teacher Deployments
The state government has taken serious note of the failure to deploy teachers on time in Sarvodaya Vidyalayas, despite the new academic session having commenced on April 1st. Clear instructions have been issued to identify the officials responsible for delays and negligence in issuing advertisements for teacher recruitment in the month of June. This step by the government aims to ensure that students’ studies do not suffer in the future.
District Magistrates to Directly Respond to Social Media Complaints
Chief Secretary SP Goyal has issued strict instructions to all divisional commissioners and district magistrates to keep a close watch on social media posts related to schools and educational institutions. All district DMs have been directed to promptly investigate such matters through their official social media handles and present factual responses. This new arrangement will not only curb misleading information spreading on social media but also ensure timely resolution of problems faced by students and parents.
Special Focus on Basic Infrastructure and Cleanliness
Detailed and explicit guidelines have been issued to strengthen infrastructural facilities in basic and secondary schools, ensure high standards of cleanliness on campuses, and establish regular communication with students and parents. Additionally, keeping the monsoon season in mind, instructions have been issued at the block level to take robust and necessary steps to address waterlogging and hygiene-related issues in schools.
