Political temperatures are rising across Uttar Pradesh in the lead-up to the 2027 assembly elections. In a major organizational move in Shravasti district, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has expelled Haji Dadan Khan, the party’s candidate from the Bhinga assembly constituency in the 2022 elections.
Allegations of Campaigning Without Organizational Permission
According to BSP District President Dinesh Kumar Gautam, indiscipline was the primary reason behind this disciplinary action. He stated that Haji Dadan Khan was actively campaigning by projecting himself as a potential assembly candidate for the upcoming elections without the permission of the party organization, which directly violates party directives and organizational discipline. Following this action, political circles in the district have been sent into a tizzy.
Dadan Khan Raises Questions Over Expulsion
Following his expulsion, Haji Dadan Khan questioned the move, terming it a purported political conspiracy. He claimed that rival politicians are rattled by the growing public support he has been receiving from various communities across the Bhinga assembly constituency, which led to this conspiratorial action against him. Dadan Khan claimed that he learned about his expulsion not directly from the party organization, but through social media. He stated that he will present his side of the story directly to BSP supremo and former Chief Minister Mayawati.
Vow to Continue Preparations for Mission 2027
Haji Dadan Khan asserted that his political activity will not diminish despite his expulsion from the party, and he will continue to reach out to the people of the Bhinga assembly constituency just as before. He stated that if the public brings him to the assembly, he will raise the issues of the region in the house in accordance with the vision of the Constitution formulated by Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Meanwhile, various speculations are rife regarding Dadan Khan’s next political move.
