Bank customers planning to visit a branch over the next few days should check the holiday schedule before stepping out. While several banking services are now available online, some work still requires a visit to a branch, including certain documentation, account-related services and other in-person requests.
Banks will remain closed on different days between September 11 and September 13, depending on the occasion and the regular banking holiday calendar.
On September 11, bank closures will be observed in parts of Rajasthan in connection with local elections. Bank branches located in areas covered by the election-related holiday will remain closed.
According to the information available, banks in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation area will remain closed on Friday because of the elections. Branches in other parts of Rajasthan where voting is scheduled may also observe a holiday as per the applicable local notification.
Customers in these areas are therefore advised to check with their respective bank branches before planning an in-person visit.
Will banks be closed in Delhi on September 11?
The situation is different in Delhi. Several restrictions and changes in arrangements may be in place in the national capital in connection with the 18th BRICS Summit. Schools and some government offices may also have altered schedules or closures because of the arrangements.
However, this does not automatically mean that bank branches across Delhi will be closed.
