A heart-wrenching incident has surfaced from the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. In broad daylight, a man was shot dead over a six-month-old love marriage rivalry within the jurisdiction of the Imliya Sultanpur police station in Belamau Khurd village. The attack has been blamed on a local history-sheeter. Following the incident, panic has spread across the entire region, and a heavy police force has been deployed to maintain law and order.
Ambushed on the Road, Died on the Spot
According to information, 55-year-old Vijay Vikram, a resident of Belamau Khurd who worked as a sanitation worker posted in Fattepur Matinpur, was returning home on his motorcycle. As he reached between Dholai Kala and Belamau villages, assailants lying in wait launched an attack. The attackers fired multiple bullets at Vijay Vikram. Due to bullet injuries to his head and body, Vijay Vikram died tragically on the spot.
6-Month-Old Love Marriage Triggered the Murder
The motive behind this crime is reportedly a six-month-old family rivalry. The deceased Vijay Vikram’s son, Angrej, had contracted a love marriage with the daughter of Badlu (55), a fellow villager, about 6 months ago. Ever since this marriage, Badlu’s family had been harboring a grudge. To exact revenge for this rivalry, the prime accused Badlu—who is also a history-sheeter of the Imliya Sultanpur police station—along with his accomplices, executed this murder.
Superintendent of Police and Senior Officials Arrive at the Scene
Upon receiving news of the incident, Sitapur Superintendent of Police (SP) Ankur Aggarwal, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) दुर्गेश Kumar, and Circle Officer (CO) Maholi Nagendra Choubey rushed to the spot with a heavy police force. Given the sensitivity of the incident, a forensic team was also summoned, which collected crucial evidence from the scene. The police have taken the body into custody, sent it for a post-mortem examination, and launched raids to track down the accused. Authorities stated that the accused will be arrested soon and subjected to strict legal action.
